NEW RELEASE! - Great Colorado instrumentalists perform music that never gets loud or fast but stays very slow, soft, and soothing. As a wonderful addition that is unlike any of the other Acoustitherapy compilation discs, Nature Walk has beautiful nature sounds side by side with the wonderful acoustic instrumentals. Also the nature sounds simulate a complete day. The CD starts with crickets chirping into a soft haunting native flute solo. It continues into some morning songbirds over a delightful solo piano work and a sweet cello and guitar duet. Then it takes you on a walk by the river accompanied by silver flute and a guitar duet, into an afternoon thunderstorm with cello and violin, and back to the coming cool evening with some crickets and a classical guitar. A gentle wind, native flute, guitar, and piano take us to the end of the CD fading out with the same crickets from the beginning. Nature Walk is a complete cycle of the day in 60 minutes and is great for seamlessly repeating as it washes away our stress and grounds our turbulent lives!
Use this music to ground your being. It is great for visualization, morning wake-up, peace meditations, reconnecting with nature, and general down time.

The origins of "Shenandoah," perhaps one of America's most recognizable folk tunes, are not so easily deciphered. Like many folk songs, it is impossible to determine exactly when the song was composed, yet the song probably did not originate later than the Civil War. In any case, by the end of the nineteenth century, "Shenandoah" had achieved widespread popularity, both on land and at sea.
American folklorist Alan Lomax suggested that "Shenandoah" was a sea-shanty and that its "composers" quite possibly were French-Canadian voyageurs. Sea-shanties were work songs used by sailors to coordinate the efforts of completing chores such as raising the ship's anchor or hauling ropes. The formal structure of a shanty is simple: it consists of a solo lead that alternates with a boisterous chorus. With the sweeping melodic line of its familiar refrain, "Shenandoah" is the very nature of a sea-shanty; indeed, the song's first appearance in print was in an article by William L. Alden, titled "Sailor Songs," published in Harper's New Monthly Magazine in 1882.

Nature Setting: Emerging from the still pond, your walk continues into the afternoon along the river which is alive with flowing water and the natural chorus of the mother earth.

Here is a love song about love among the heather - and the sweetly perfumed, wild mountain thyme. "Wild Mountain Thyme," also commonly known as "Will You Go Lassie, Go" was first recorded by Francis McPeake but there is conflicting information on whether he actually wrote this song. Ireland the Songs, Volume 2, pub. 1993 Walton Mfg, Walton Music Inc. says, "He learned it from his uncle, which gives it definite Ulster credentials." However, others have written that it is an elegant variant of a Scottish song by Robert Tannahill (1774-1819), "The Braes of Balquidder." Artist Comments
Nature Setting: Our walk continues up to a mountain meadow where the hot sun and cool breeze mix to a perfect temperature as we sit and listen to the meadow larks singing around us.

This nylon string guitar composition is at once melancholy and hopeful. Conjuring images of the past and a time when things were much simpler, the composition begins and ends with some wonderful guitar harmonics that set the stage for the composition like a curtain opening and closing on a scene from a play.

Upon first listen to a recording of Solo Acoustic Guitarist, Jeff Wahl, you might think that it's a recording of several guitarists playing together at once. However, it's all just one guitar with no overdubs. Audiences who see Jeff play live are also often surprised to see one guitarist sitting on stage yet hear what sounds like 2 or 3 guitarists playing together. Often compared to guitarists such as Leo Kottke, Michael Hedges, Joe Pass, and Will Ackerman, Jeff's style ultimately is a blend of many styles that defies categorization. Jeff's live repertoire encompasses the genres of Folk, Jazz, New Age, Classical and even Indian Ragas. Jeff's music has been featured often on local and national public radio programs during the last several years. Upon release of his first CD, Guitarscapes in 1999, Jeff was named one of America's best undiscovered guitarists by Guitar 9 Record's online guitar magazine. Jeff grew up on a farm on the eastern plains of Colorado. He played the piano and trombone before discovering his connection with the guitar. He has degrees in music composition and music education. Jeff currently resides in the beautiful city of Fort Collins, Colorado.

Vince began his career as a guitarist. Then as a sophomore in college, he decided to master the piano, because it would be a better vehicle for his true passion, composing. Graduating with honors from Denver University with a music composition degree, Vince traveled to New York, where he studied further under Juliard instructor Bertha Melnik, and then embraced the NYC studio scene, doing session work for labels such as Tommy Boy, Elektra and Polygram. In contrast to Dreamland his work at that point was for rap and R&B artists, playing keyboard parts and programming synthesizers for early artists like Grand Master Flash, keyboard tracks were heavily sampled by other artists. Vince has added his talent to numerous recordings for other artists and written dozens of pop songs. But with Dreamland, he decided to stop worrying about what was hip or the latest rage, and just write from the heart. And in response, his CDs have already far surpassed any of his previous efforts in terms of sales. With his new record company, “Firefly Records” Vince decided to skip the traditional record company waiting game and take his music directly to the people. In December 1998, when Dreamland was first released, he started playing the music live in upscale shopping malls. The response was astounding. People would stop dead in their tracks, listen, then get in line to buy a CD, sometimes with tears in their eyes! The success of Dreamland enabled Vince to pursue his own original music as a full time career.
